2007 Scholarship Winner:  Rachel Warden

Rachel Warden, a Middletown High School graduate was awarded a $500 scholarship on May 31, 2007 at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford, CT.  Rachel is the first recipient of the “Mama Dot Scholarship Award” which began as a community service project started by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon in January 2007.

Rachel used the money she won from the scholarship to pay for her books, which was a tremendous help.  Rachel is currently attending Simmons College in Boston, MA where she is majoring in Business Management.  In addition to winning the Mama Dot Scholarship, Rachel was one of two students chosen to receive a $20,000 per year scholarship from Simmons College.  (Way to go Rachel!)
