The Mama Dot Scholarship Award

Thank you for your interest in the 2008 Mama Dot Scholarship Award!

Applicants can submit their essay online by pasting it in the 'Comments' box below.  Please note:  Applicants are still expected to fill out the application form and include all necessary documentation in addition to submitting their essay online.  The directions listed on the application document will assist you in the completion of the form.  Download the 2008 application form by clicking on the 'Download File' link listed below.
 
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS 
Students must write an essay describing how being in foster care or being adopted has enriched or changed their lives and state why they feel they are deserving of special recognition. The essay should be no longer than 250 words.

A document showing proof of the student in foster care or adopted and a letter of recommendation from the student's teacher or guidance counselor are required.  Application information must be postmarked by May 19, 2008 and received by May 24, 2008.  The award will be made June 6, 2008 and should be used towards college expenses.
